I just found a drupal module called Picasa which utilizes the Google API to bring your images on to your website.

But there are more services around the Google API. Like Picnik where you can edit your photos online and share it again with Google Picasa web album

Now imagine to combine these two services:

• Upload your pictures with Picasa
• Edit them with Picnik
• Share them with the world using the Picasa Drupal module

does not sound like a hard workflow.

I will have an eye on the picasa module… Currently it does not look like it uses the node system for storing the pictures which makes this module a little bit inflexible.
